People often seek the familiar more strongly than they seek comfort. Someone who had a lot of poking fun when young will often maneuver to get the same in adulthood. Be good to people and give them a bit of their familiar zone - with the caveat that you may be pegged as a parent figure with all those good and bad emotions.
